Rev. Dr. Jessica Patchett

Pastor Jessica loves accompanying people in their lives of faith. She’s a deeply spiritual person who sees beauty, possibility, and the image of God everywhere. Her curiosity leads her to read widely and engage culture and arts of many kinds. She enjoys learning from people with diverse experiences and backgrounds. Jessica is inspired by people who continue Jesus’ ministry of compassion and is grateful for opportunities to partner with people who work for a more free and equitable society.

Jessica loves adventure, hiking, yoga, cooking, and enjoying time with friends. She’s married to David Dragseth and mom to puppy Cori. Her family and long-time friends live in North Carolina, a place very dear to her.

Jessica also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal for Preachers; is a Pastoral Advisory Council Member supporting the Dar al Kalima University of Arts and Culture, Bethlehem, Palestine; and teaches Preaching for Dubuque Theological Seminary Madison Learning Community.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Elon University a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry, Columbia Theological Seminary.

Prior to answering the call to serve as Lead Pastor and Head of Staff for Christ Presbyterian Church, Jessica served as Senior Pastor and Head of Staff for Central Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia; Senior Associate Pastor for Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina; and Pastor for Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Concord, North Carolina.
