Derek Handley (he/him)

Derek joined the CPC staff in November of 2024 and works remotely from Marquette, MI. He oversees the communications of the church — website, social media, visual media, publications, and overall plan. Previously, Derek has held positions of Communications Coordinator at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Office Manager at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, and other work in arts administration. Derek is also a cellist/​musician, and plays with the Madison Symphony Orchestra among other groups.

Derek and his family were members of CPC for about 10 years before moving to Marquette in 2024. Natalie was on the music staff here at CPC, and followed a call to seminary and ultimately to Marquette as head pastor of First Presbyterian Church there. They have boys — 9 and 6 — and added a cute puppy recently!
