Ben Petersen (he/him)

Ben is excited to be part of the music team at Christ Pres! Ben has a bachelor’s degree in vocal and instrumental music education from Luther College and a master’s degree in instrumental conducting from Sam Houston State. He is currently a band teacher in the McFarland school district (beginning his 19^th year with the district). In his career, Ben has served as a substitute organist, piano accompanist, played in praise bands, accompanied the National Youth Choir at the ELCA National Youth Gathering, directed the McFarland Community Band, and led church choirs. Beyond making music, Ben loves to spend time with his three boys and his wife, Elisabeth.
