Undie Sundays: Supporting Mendota School
Every year, our Mendota School partners rely on our generosity to supply them with extra clothes for their students, especially for the youngest children. We realize that it would be most helpful if they had many of these items by the first day of school, so we’re scheduling 3 consecutive Sundays in August for donation collection. This gives everyone a chance to take advantage of Back-to-School sales and allows the school to be prepared on day one for all contingencies.
These are the suggested clothes:
Underwear: All sizes/genders (priority is 4T, 4 – 5, 6)
Kids Socks: All sizes/genders
Leggings and Sweatpants: All sizes/genders (priority 4T, 5T, 4−5,6)
You may notice that we are not asking for school supplies this year. The Mendota Schools Resource Coordinator assured me that they have other donors who cover school supplies, so we at CPC can concentrate on clothing needs.
Donation Sundays are: August 9, August 16 and August 23.
Please drop donations off in the containers outside the sanctuary.
Out of town in August? No problem. We will accept donations after this date as well. You can drop them off in the office anytime the church is open. Thank you in advance for your faithful generosity.
