Caring Well for God’s Creation
We believe that caring for creation and caring for each other, especially for those most harmed by climate change, is central to living out our faith. In response to God’s call to care for the earth and to love our neighbor, we will offer opportunities to learn, pray and act on behalf of our earth and its people.
Foundations for Caring Well
This Creation Care team is looking to expand and engage the CPC community in this important work. We would love for you to be a part of this in a way that works for you.
- We will work grounded in God’s love for the created world.
- We will work in loving community with those at CPC and others in our community to address climate issues and environmental risks.
- We will seek the Spirit’s guidance.
- We will learn from and work for justice for those most impacted by environmental hazards.
- We will encourage and embrace individual, community, and systemic changes that address climate change and other environmental impacts.
- We will celebrate together the wonder and beauty of creation even as we grieve together the losses brought on by ongoing environmental crises.
