Kathleen Otterson
Kathleen (Kathy) has been a part of the CPC community for over 30 years. After ten years as a quartet member, Kathy moved into the role of Classical Worship Director and recently celebrated 20 years in that capacity. Originally from Milwaukee, WI Kathy grew up in the bucolic countryside of Mequon, WI before calling Madison home. She completed her undergraduate degree in Music Education and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at The University of Wisconsin, Madison. From the Madison and UW Operas to the Madison Savoyards to solo vocal recitals, Kathy has performed in many capacities and for many audiences. Having held several offices as part of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Kathy is currently a member of Madison Choral Project and serves as the Board President for the Isthmus Vocal Ensemble.
When she isn’t working, Kathy enjoys choral singing, gardening, biking, reading, cooking, Lake Superior, WI, the Union Terrace, Farmers’ Markets, the many and varied offerings at the Overture Center and UW School of Music. Kathy also enjoys facilitating and welcoming performing groups and audiences to the beautiful CPC campus for “Concerts By the Lake” and recitals.
