To Love Another Person is to See the Face of God

We’re not out of the woods yet, as they say, but with the turning of the seasons, it’s a good time to pause, reflect, and consider how this time of pandemic might be changing us for good. We’ve had to consider how to find spiritual sustenance in dry, wilderness times. We’ve found new ways to reach through isolation to stay connected. We’ve been challenged to find purpose when hope has seemed lost. We’ve come face to face, mask to mask with the reality that our welfare is caught up in the welfare of others, even those with whom we don’t agree. We’ve learned that change and growth, while sometimes scary, can be incredibly generative.
Join us for worship in August and invite a friend to join you. We’ll consider five stories from scripture that will help us reflect on how we, with God’s help, might emerge from this season changed – not just permanently, but in ways that could be positively good.
