Outdoor Book Discussion – June 12
You are invited to join CPC’s Racial Justice Team and Refuge on four summer Saturday mornings (10 AM-11:30 AM) to discuss these compelling titles:
- May 8 – Settlin’- Stories of Madison’s Early African American Families by Muriel Simms
- June 12 – Caste – The Origins of Our Discontent by Isabel Wilkerson
- July 10 – Our Time is Now by Stacey Abrams
- August 14 – to be determined—we’ll take suggestions (rich@cpcmadison.org)
We will follow whatever COVID safety guidelines are in place at meeting times, in Giddings Park (lakeside adjacent to CPC), with Zoom as a backup. Save the dates and start reading! Let us know you are coming by registering here.
masks optional • social distancing encouraged
P.S. It’s okay if you are still reading the book, we invite you to attend anyways!
