Introduction to Centering Prayer
What is Centering Prayer? “Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship.” – from the Contemplative Outreach website
In other words, this Introductory Workshop is designed for anyone who desires to walk more deeply with God. The focus of Centering Prayer is the deepening of our relationship with the living Christ.
For those new to Centering Prayer, the Introduction will equip you to begin your practice of Centering Prayer.
For those more familiar with this practice, the Introduction will serve as a refresher and opportunity to deepen your Centering Prayer practice.
