Good Friday Worship
Good Friday: darkness covers the earth as Jesus suffers and dies on the cross alongside two others marked as “criminals.” The crowd at their feet mocks the three men even as Mary, Jesus’ mother, weeps to see her son in torment. Our Good Friday Tenebrae (“darkness”) service commemorates Christ’s final journey in scripture, song, and prayer, as the Sanctuary is gradually darkened to reflect the departure of light from the world. The online service begins with music at 7:00pm.
