Small Groups

There are many small groups and affinity groups in our community – groups gathered around a common interest, growing together and learning from one another, praying and studying scripture together, and finding ways to serve together.

ChristCare Group “1P5:7″ – “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – This small group book study is for consumers of mental health services to share our faith and challenges. We study the book The Good and Beautiful Life: Putting on the Character of Christ, by James Bryan Smith, and care for and pray with each other. Copies of the book are available through the group. We meet Thursdays, 5-6:30pm, in the Conference Room at CPC. For more information contact Jessica Reed: jcbrooks@uwalumni.com, 242-2451.

With the help of the CPC library we have over 60 resource books which are available to anyone leading a small group. These resources are located just inside the church office.
If you’re interested in joining or leading a small group, contact one of our ChristCare Equippers: Cheryl Shult, 271-7138, shltfam@inxpress.net; Kim Genne, 239-3220, kim.genne@gmail.com; or Pastor Glen.
Our small groups are ChristCare groups, facilitated by a leader who has received 40 hours of ChristCare training from ChristCare Equippers. Each group is designed to support a specific purpose, and includes four components which are essential to any healthy small group: community building / care; Bible study; missional service; prayer / worship.
