Under the direction of Dr. Patrick Gorman, the Philharmonic Chorus of Madison offers its annual concert series the final week of April, three free performances entitled Let me fly in celebration of Easter and long awaited warm spring days. The a cappella group will perform April 28, starting at 7:30 p.m., that Friday, at Christ Presbyterian Church. The theme, Let me fly, is the title of an African-American Spiritual, arranged by Robert Decormier, on the concert program. Gorman said he chose the theme not because of the spiritual alone, but other concert selections about the Resurrection and the Holy Spirit.
A reception with refreshments will follow each concert.
